We want to get “Kids in the boat”. Camp is for boys and girls going in to seventh and eighth grades MRC uses a mix of introductory equipment, including a 10 person “barge” where coaches will instruct directly on the boat with the rowers.
Come enjoy learning a cool new sport in a safe fun environment on the Mississippi, this summer 2017. Our focus is on fun and learning, as well as fitness. Athletes are taught the basics of the rowing stroke along with boat handling, terminology, and care for equipment.
Sunday Session meet 5 Sundays from 5.00 - 7.00 pm
Session I: "Kids in the Boat" - June 11, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16 from 5.00 - 7.00 pm
Session III: "Kids in the Boat" - July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20, August 27 from 5.00 - 7.00 pm
Weekday Session meet Monday - Friday from 3.15 - 5.15 pm
Session II: "Kids in the Boat" - June 26 through June 30 from 3.15 - 5.15 pm
Fee is $125 (includes a t-shirt).
Advanced Kids in the Boat Class:
Open to athletes who have completed the beginner level KIB. Athletes will further their skills and knowledge of rowing learned in the first level both on the barge and in an 8 person boat.
